Using Disk Management:

1. Press the Windows key + X and select Disk Management.
2. Right-click the drive you want to partition (e.g., C:).
3. Select “Shrink Volume” to create unallocated space.
4. Enter the amount of space to shrink (in MB).
5. Right-click the unallocated space and select “New Simple Volume.”
6. Follow the wizard to create a new partition.

Using Disk part:

1. Open Command Prompt as Administrator.
2. Type diskpart and press Enter.
3. Type list disk to see available disks.
4. Select the disk you want to partition (e.g., select disk 0).
5. Type list volume to see existing volumes.
6. Shrink the volume (e.g., shrink desired=10000 for 10 GB).
7. Create a new partition (e.g., create partition primary).
